Udupi Ruchi – Vangi Bath Powder Retail



Bengal Gram Dal, Whole Coriander, Black Lentil, Red Chilli Powder, Refined Sunflower Oil, Cinnamon, Whole Mace, Whole Clove, Whole Nutmeg, Whole Fenugreek, Whole Cumin, Fresh Curry Leaves, Green Cardamom and Asafoetida.

Instructions for use

  • Cook 200 g rice for 2 whistles and keep aside.
  • Heat 50 ml of edible oil, add mustard seeds, bengal gram dal, cashew nuts and green chillies and sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add 200 g of brinjal (optional vegetables, beans, carrot, capsicum and green pea’s) and sauté for 3 – 4 minutes.
  • Add a pinch of turmeric, tamarind juice, salt to taste and jaggery if desired and cook for 2 – 3 minutes.
  • Add 20 – 25 g vangi bath powder and roasted dry coconut (optional) and sauté for 2 – 3 minutes.
  • Add cooked rice and mix well. Serve hot with curd raitha or coconut chutni.
