Udupi Ruchi – Urad Vada Retail

Ingredients

Black Lentil Flour, Rice Flour, Iodized Salt, Black Pepper, Dehydrated Curry Leaves, Dehydrated Green Chilli Flakes, Asafoetida, Raising Agent (INS 500ii) and Acidity Regulator (INS 296).

Instructions for use

  • Add 260 ml water to Vada mix and mix gently to get a smooth, uniform batter. Set aside the batter for 5-6 minutes. Add fine chopped coriander leaves.
  • Take a small quantity of the batter on to your wet palm and make flat round shaped vadas with a hole in the centre.
  • Fry the vadas in edible vegetable oil until they turn golden brown.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney / sambar.
